YOUR SPACE. A MORE USEFUL PLAN.

Light the way you use the room.

Garage Heroes helps homeowners in Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Tequesta, Hobe Sound, Palm City, Stuart, Jensen Beach and Port St. Lucie plan garage lighting alongside the floor, cabinets and storage. The electrical installation itself is licensed specialist work, scoped with a licensed electrical contractor; our part is the layout, and it starts with a free in-home consultation.

A garage can be bright near the door and still feel dim at the workbench. Start by identifying the areas where you park, find equipment and spend time working.

We help plan fixture placement alongside the floor, cabinets and storage. Review the electrical installation scope with a licensed electrical contractor, including any wiring, switching or circuit changes.

  • Consider the parking area and storage walls together
  • Plan focused light where detailed work happens
  • Review fixtures, controls and electrical scope before installation

GARAGE LIGHTING

Three parts of a more useful lighting plan.

01

Overhead lighting

Explore fixture spacing and overall coverage for the garage. Account for ceiling height, door tracks, the opener and any overhead storage.

02

Workbench task lighting

Consider dedicated light over the work surface, especially beneath wall cabinets. Review placement from the position where you will actually be working.

03

Controls & coordination

Think through which lights you want to use together and where controls would be convenient. Bring those preferences to the electrical scope discussion.

THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

The work area deserves its own light.

A clean line of light beneath the cabinets can make a workbench feel like a defined part of the room. Keep the fixture placement coordinated with shelving, tools and the counter.

Compare the light appearance with your wall, floor and cabinet finishes. The goal is a garage that feels comfortable and useful when daylight is gone.

  3. 03

    Define the installation.

Confirm fixture selections and have a licensed electrical contractor address the electrical work, controls and any circuit changes.

FREE IN-HOME CONSULTATION

How the consultation works.

Book a consultation

It starts with a free in-home consultation. We come to you; there is no showroom to visit. We talk through what you keep, how you use the garage and what you want to change, then look at the space together.

You do not have to empty the garage first. Seeing how it is currently used helps with planning, and clearing it for any preparation or installation is discussed as part of the scope.

After the visit you receive a written quote covering the layout, finishes and scope. Review it before deciding what is right for your garage; the plan can be completed in phases if that suits you better.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions about garage lighting.

Ask about your garage
Can lighting be planned without a full garage makeover?

Yes. You can focus on improving the existing layout, the workbench or a specific dim area. It still helps to consider future storage plans.

Who handles wiring and hardwired fixtures?

Electrical installation is a separate scope to review with a licensed electrical contractor. Clarify who supplies the fixtures, installs them and handles any wiring or circuit changes before work begins.

Can lighting work around my existing cabinets?

Yes. Share their dimensions and photos, including the underside of wall cabinets and the work surface. Existing outlets and fixture locations are useful to include.

Do I need a decorative ceiling grid?

No. Simple linear fixtures and well-placed task lighting may suit the space. The fixture style should follow the room, your preferences and the installation plan.
